A genuine employer never asks you to pay to be considered, onboarded, or trained.
Fake offer letters
Offer letters not issued from an official company domain, with no interview record, are a red flag.
Fake domains
Look-alike domains (extra letters, wrong TLD) mimic real companies. Always type the company's own URL.
WhatsApp / Telegram recruitment
Legitimate internships are rarely offered cold, only over chat apps, with no official process.
Fake work-from-home offers
Be cautious of vague job descriptions promising high pay for minimal, unclear work.
Unnecessary documents
Aadhaar, bank details or passwords are not needed to apply for an internship.
Payment / refundable deposit scams
'Refundable' security deposits before starting work are a common scam pattern.
Identity theft risks
Sharing IDs and personal documents with unverified recruiters can lead to identity misuse.
