Student Spot uses exactly one cookie, and it's the essential kind, not the tracking kind.

When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets a secure, httpOnly session cookie so you stay logged in between visits. It only identifies your own session, it isn't used to track you across other sites, and it's never sold or shared with advertisers.

There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking scripts anywhere on this site. We don't use Google Analytics, ad networks, or similar tools. This single cookie is strictly necessary for the site to function, which most privacy laws exempt from requiring consent, we still ask on your first visit. Choosing "Deny" just dismisses the notice, since this cookie is only ever set when you choose to log in, it's not something we can pre-emptively block.

If you sign out or clear your browser's cookies, the session cookie is removed and you'll need to log in again.
